Painting a Gallery Piece of Art

For me it is a very different process than when I paint plein air. On a Piece of Art as big as this one, careful planning is needed. Where do I want my lights and shadows to be? Where do I want the viewer to settle their eyes and take a moment. Little spots like this are ideal.
